#TBT Me at age 5
*Mom and I had finished reading a story about a boy and his adventures
in the sea. She asked me to draw a picture about what I thought the
adventures looked like. I thought the boy looked alot like me, and I
hoped Mom wouldn't mind if I drew him with my blond hair, and the
awesome new red swimming shorts I had. I really wished I could see all
the cool animals the boy saw, like the turtle and fishies. But even I
knew that I wasn't allowed to do that. I stuck the tip of my tongue out
as I coloured, concentrating hard on staying inside the lines and made
sure everything was the right colours. When I was done, I put the cap
back on the marker and picked up my drawing, and held it up for Mom to
look at* Mommy, this is what I sawed in my head when we read the
story. See? The boy is swimmings, and made friends wif the turtle and
the fishy. And he has the same hair and swimming pants as me!!! Isn't
that awesomes? *Mom smiled and nodded, it was as if she'd seen the best
drawing in the world. She hung it up my play room next to a few other
drawings I'd made so we could talk more about it later.*
